Freemasons New Zealand

Mission Statement: To be a modern organisation retaining our traditions of Fellowship with like minded men, Integrity and Charitable work. Freemasonry: A Way of Life.

‘For every man who aspires to be a better person, Freemasonry helps you develop the knowledge and skills to be the best you can be – through a unique mix of ceremony, fresh thinking and good works in an enjoyable and supportive environment, because only Freemasonry uses long-proven principles that empower you to unlock your full potential, for a better future.’

Freemasonry is unique. It cannot be likened to any Institution in that it offers experiences not found anywhere else.

Freemasonry is one of the world’s oldest and largest fraternal societies. There are approximately five million Freemasons worldwide and 4700 Freemasons in New Zealand with 176 Lodges.

Freemasons are ordinary men in the community, 18 years and over, of all religions and backgrounds, who share a concern for human values, moral standards and the rights of individuals.

There are many reasons why a man will choose to be a Freemason.

It is an organisation that promotes self-development, family and community values. It provides men with an opportunity for public service and hands-on involvement in charitable and community issues, as well as a chance to socialise with men from all walks of life.
